Thousands of people from across the Vancouver-Portland metro area turned out for the 2017 Portland Race for the Cure Sept. 17 in Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland. Money raised from the event helps fund local programs offering breast health education and cancer screening, as well as the Susan G. Komen Research and Training Grants program.

Fundraising continues online at www.komenoregon.org/events/race-for-the-cure/portland/2017 through Oct. 31.
