Clark County – Council for the Homeless is surveying community members, service providers and people experiencing homelessness as part of its effort to update the Clark County Homeless Action Plan.
The survey gathers feedback on certain themes:
- How should meeting basic human needs be balanced with the need for stable, permanent housing?
- Which subpopulations (e.g. families, senior citizens, etc.) would you prioritize?
- What solutions have worked elsewhere that our community should pursue?
The survey, available online at www.councilforthehomeless.org/homeless-action-plan/, takes five to 10 minutes to complete. It’s open through July 13.
Clark County Department of Community Services contracted with Council for the Homeless to update the Homeless Action Plan, a document that guides investment in homeless programs that was last updated in 2015.
“The 2015 plan was written in the context of the recession and really before the housing crisis caused an increase in homelessness,” Kate Budd, executive director of Council for the Homeless, said in a news release. “The updated Homeless Action Plan creates a present-day framework for our collective efforts.”
