Evergreen Public Schools is slightly extending bell schedules to account for instructional time lost due to inclement weather earlier this month and the teacher strike in September.

The information was shared in an email to staff Monday.

Starting Feb. 12, all remaining school days will start five minutes earlier and end three minutes later than the current schedules, including early-release days.

Certificated employees will have their days extended by 10 minutes. The district said in a news release Monday that classified employees will be notified later regarding changes to schedules.

The last day of school will now be Tuesday, June 18, and will be an early-release day. Graduation dates are not expected to change, but seniors will be expected to attend school through June 13 to meet state guidelines.

The district said it would update its online calendar soon to reflect the changes.
