Letter: County council errs on fireworks

By David Payne, Vancouver
Published: January 5, 2022, 6:00am

At 1730 hours on New Year’s Eve, it sounded like a mad minute back in Vietnam. I want to thank the county council for their fantastically brilliant idea to allow fireworks in the county. But of course, the honest people of Vancouver wouldn’t think of violating the law by setting off those ear-splitting pieces too early, would they?

To each and every moron on the county council, I hope you have a dog or a Vietnam vet in your house, so you could know what it’s like out there.
