Letter: Time for schools to open

By Lisa Mendenhall, Salmon Creek

Our children have had almost one year of online learning and need to go back to school. They are suffering with no school, no sports and no friends.

Most schools have their own school nurse. There seems to be vaccine sitting around. Let the school nurse set up a production line in the cafeteria and vaccinate the teachers, support staff and other personnel. This should be able to get done in a day or two, and then let’s open our schools.

The school administrators have had long enough to figure out how to do it safely.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
