Based on information from the Battle Ground and Clark County websites, property owners would be assessed $1.35 per $1,000 for 2019 and $1.40 for 2020, not the $1.30 Battle Ground is estimating would go to District 3. The city would still collect $1.37 per $1,000. You pay double and get the same services you had.
The tax relief on the utility tax on water bills will save the ratepayer, not the property owner, $103 a year. Battle Ground estimates the new tax at $390 to $520 per year.
