Habitat for Humanity Store has a variety of fun and interesting volunteer opportunities, including back-room assistants to help process donations. You’ll do a variety of things from sorting, cleaning, organizing, pricing and breaking down recyclables to observing and fixing safety hazards. Cashiers are needed to help customers at the cash register. Sales assistants will help customers find items, keep the store tidy and assist with merchandising. Many shifts are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center seeks general volunteers for the gift shops. The main lobby gift shop shift is from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday morning. The gift shop annex in the Angelo Lobby is also looking for volunteers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, with flexible shifts available. Attendance at an information session and new volunteer orientation is required.

Smith Tower Senior Living is looking for client support volunteers to help clients sign up for Medicaid or food stamps, fill out paperwork for hearing aids and/or glasses, or to fill out forms for financial aid from expensive hospital stays. There are many possibilities to help support seniors aging out of their own home.

TreeSong Nature Awareness & Retreat Center needs volunteer support in all areas, including volunteer coordinating, fundraising, grant-writing, event planning, grounds keeping, event support, administration, public relations and media (photographers, graphic designers, videographers). The minimum age limit is 16.
