Letter: Heritage Farm should help the poor

By Kenneth F. Smith, Vancouver
Published: January 25, 2020, 6:00am

When you sit around and try to decide just what to do with the land making up Heritage Farm, look up and take into consideration what it was originally conceived to be, and for whom. Poor farm and poor farm road — ever heard those terms? During a time of real need, the land was used to help people who really needed help.

The political thinkers (if there is such a thing) that are in charge today should try hard to keep this land in a manner to really help those in need.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
