Washington Federal Q1 earnings $65.7 million

SEATTLE — Washington Federal Inc. (WAFD) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $65.7 million.

The Seattle-based bank said it had earnings of 84 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 58 cents per share.

The holding company for Washington Federal Savings Bank posted revenue of $211.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $166.1 million, topping Street forecasts.
