Community Home Health & Hospice is now offering free grief-support groups for youth in Clark County.

These groups are designed for ages 5 through 17. The meetings will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month October through August at the new Seasons of Hope Grief Center, 3102 N.E. 134th St., Vancouver.

Groups will be split by age groups: children (5 through 10), pre-teen (11 through 13) and teens (14 through 17). A parents group will meet simultaneously.

The grief support groups are an opportunity for youth to learn how to share feeling and cope with loss, while also making connections with other children and teens who are in similar situations.

“It’s so good to understand grief — that I am not the only one who has experienced this. It’s important that the grief group is there,” said Cynthia, a grief group attendee.

Registration is required. Call 360-703-0300 or email griefsupport@chhh.org.
