Letter: Wake up to dangers

By John J. Monaco, Vancouver
Published: January 5, 2019, 6:00am

Mr. Trump’s administration is willing to sacrifice the lives of children for the sake of a border wall, and the relaxation of environmental standards to improve commerce for the sake of more jobs.

Children have died at the border and children deal with cancers in Indiana and Louisiana just so the petrochemical industry can generate profits for their shareholders. What about that dark hole they call Hanford?

There’s a problem with this that most Americans won’t acknowledge or want to deal with. Come on man! Wake up!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
