Girls basketball: King’s Way Christian 56, Castle Rock 39

MacKenzie Ellertson and Tyra Schroeder each scored 13 points as King’s Way won its Trico League opener over visiting Castle Rock.

Ellertson also had a team-high seven rebounds plus four assists. Laurel Quinn added 11 points and four rebounds.

Castle Rock’s Zoe Naugle led all scorers with 17 points.
