The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges awarded approximately $747,000 to Clark College as part of an expansion of the Career Launch program, which aims to provide young adults with on-the-job experience to complement their classroom studies.

Clark College was one of nine colleges who each received a portion of a $1.7 million total pot of funding. The others were in Spokane or the Puget Sound area. The Clark College funding consists of two parts: a $144,000 Career Launch Enrollment Expansion award and a $603,397 Career Launch Capital Equipment award.
