Payten Foster scored 26 points to lead the Beavers to a season-opening win.

Kaily Christensen added 16 points, including a third-quarter buzzer beater after Rochester had pulled within 40-39.

Nicole Guthrie had 10 points and nine rebounds. She allowed just eight points to Rochester’s Paige Winter, who scored 34 against Woodland last year.
