I agree 100 percent with James Ault’s analysis and comments in his Jan. 3 letter, “Cheers to the 1 percent.” People who bash the “1 percent” and want to take from them and evolve the USA into a socialistic-like nation have not studied history or are just parroting the talking points of extremely liberal politicians, liberal newspapers and liberal TV news channels.
Ask yourselves — would the USA be better off never having 1 percenters like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Jeff Bezos, Sam Walton, William Hewlett, David Packard, and Michael Dell, just to name a few, who have created millions of jobs and provided opportunities for millions of people? These people did not inherit their wealth. They started businesses in their garages, dorm rooms, delivering newspapers, writing code, opening a single store in Arkansas and all working hard with passion. That is the American way of successful people and a successful nation.
Don’t be envious of successful people — work to become one.
