January is the month when Little Leagues in Southwest Washington sign up players for the upcoming spring season. FASTPITCH SOFTBALL

Vancouver Girls Softball Association

• VGSA Fields, 800 NE 117th St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 17.

Online registration: www.vancouvergirlssoftball.com. The VGSA league season runs April through June. Some teams also enter tournaments. Teams for ages 5-14, starting with T-ball. Slowpitch for ages 14-18. Cost varies by age.
