Isaiah Sampson had a double-double with 18 points, but the Papermakers’ zone was picked apart.
Jesuit led the low-scoring contest by three points at half, and Camas evened it up after three quarters.
But the Crusaders stuck to what worked, which was getting the ball to senior Justin Bieker, who finished with a game-high 27 points.
“They were able to expose a weakness in our zone defense that our guys had a hard time adjusting to and he was the recipient of that,” Camas coach Ryan Josephson said.
Both teams had a tough time scoring. Camas shot just seven free throws.
“Playing a school like jesuit is a good measuring stick because they’re someone who is going to be successful all season,” Josephson said. “It was good to expose ourselves to that.”
