Portland – Families with children on the autism spectrum know that getting on a plane can be a scary experience. On Saturday, Jan. 28 families can take part in Sky’s the Limit, an “airport rehearsal” at Portland International Airport.

It introduces children with autism to the process of taking a flight, including check in, going through security, boarding the plane and simulating take off and landing. Families will check in by 1:45 p.m. Jan. 28 at the airport.

Sky’s the Limit is put on by Alaska Airlines and the Autism Society of Oregon. The event is limited to 150 people, and registration is required. The registration form can be found at www.autismsocietyoregon.org/news-and-events/events/skys-limit and emailed to info@autismsocietyoregon.org. Email or call 503-636-1676 for more information about Sky’s the Limit.
