Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3683.

Clark County Veterans Assistance Center needs volunteers to sort donations, provide hospitality to drop-in vets, and to help veterans navigate the services and programs they need to access.

Clark County Public Utilities StreamTeam invites volunteers to help pot native trees at the native plant nursery, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 15. Training, tools, and snacks are provided. Register online at www.clarkpublicutilities.com/events.

Friends of the Carpenter will be receiving over 2,000 winter coats from a Boy Scout coat drive. Volunteers are needed to sort the coats by gender and size, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 8 and 9. A three-hour shift is required.

Area food banks need volunteers to pick up donations and help with client intake. Placement can fit a variety of schedules and locations across Clark County.
