Vancouver – PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center announced this week a $10 million fundraising campaign to enhance cancer services at the Vancouver hospital.

The hospital also announced a new name for its oncology infusion center: Elaine and Don Heimbigner Oncology Infusion Center. Don Heimbigner made a $1.2 million donation to launch the campaign. Elaine Heimbigner died from cancer in early 2016.

The money raised will be used to renovate the hospital’s inpatient cancer unit, create a charity fund to assist cancer patients with treatment-related expenses and co-locate the infusion center with the oncology radiation center.

For more information about the campaign, contact Dawn Johnston at the PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation at 360-514-3656 or djohnston@peacehealth.org.
