A police pursuit stemming from a report of theft in the Felida area was called off in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the theft report at about 3:10 a.m., according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

They reportedly located a vehicle matching the suspect’s description and tried to stop it.

“The vehicle failed to stop and deputies pursued a short distance and terminated the pursuit,” the sheriff’s office said.

The statement did not say why the pursuit was called off or what the suspect is alleged to have stolen. Deputies are continuing to investigate the incident and said no further information was available.
