Attorney urges court to rule in transgender student’s favor

RICHMOND, Va. — A lawyer for a transgender student who was born female has told an appeals court that judicial rulings and federal regulations support his client’s right to use the boys’ restrooms at school.

Gloucester High School student Gavin Grimm’s attorney urged a three-judge federal appeals panel Wednesday to overturn a judge’s ruling against his client.
