Girls basketball: La Center 55, Woodland 43

Taylor Mills had a double-double as the La Center girls basketball team wore down Woodland in the fourth quarter.

Mills finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. She 14 of her points in the second half as the Beavers used an 18-5 advantage in the fourth quarter to win.

“We wore them down a bit,” La Center coach Herm VanWeerdhuizen said. “Andrea Griffee and Taylor Stephens hit some big 3s at the start of the quarter to get us going.”

Griffee had nine points, five assists and four steals, while Stephens added 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Jessica Flanagan paced Woodland with 17 points.
