A one-car crash sent two people to the hospital Thursday evening when the driver apparently careened off Columbia Tie Road near Camper’s Hideaway.

Donald Yates was driving a Cadillac Escalade in the area of 45000 N.E. Columbia Tie Road with his passenger, Sandra Yates, when they went off the road and crashed at about 9:30 p.m., according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and dispatch records.

Donald Yates was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center by LifeFlight helicopter, while Sandra Yates, whose relationship to the driver was unknown, was transported by ambulance.

As of Friday afternoon, both were reported in satisfactory condition.
