Girls basketball: Woodland 58, La Center 47

Kayla Fredricks came off the bench and sparked Woodland in the non-league victory over rival La Center.

Jessica Flanagan led Woodland with 16 points. She also grabbed five rebounds. Sedra Malik also reached double figures in scoring with 10 points.

McKenna Mulder had eight points and seven boards for the Beavers. Fredricks was credited by coach Glen Flanagan for her spark, helping the team with eight points and four boards.

Woodland led by four at the half, then extened the lead to 12 going into the final quarter.

Andrea Griffee led La Center with 14 points. Katie Whitten had 12 points, six assists, and five steals. Taylor Mills grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.

WOODLAND — Kendall Grell 8, Jessica Flanagan 16, Amber Malik 5, McKenna Mulder 8, Kate Cochran 0, Sidra Malik 10, Kayla Fredricks 8, Grace Adams 3. Totals 22-44 (4) 10-12 58.
