Letter: Fools rushed in to refuse fed funds

Reading (and viewing the video) sure makes us out to be the national fools that we are here in Vancouver: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-12-19/bridge-of-1917-remains-deathtrap-as-infrastructure-decays.html. Having declined to have other taxpayers pay a portion of our bridge, citizens elsewhere are doubtless rejoicing in receiving that bounty for their own lesser needs and for some small share of our federal taxes as well.
