Boys basketball: Battle Ground 67, Mountain View 49

Devin Johnson scored 29 points to lead the Tigers to a 4A GSHL road win.

Battle Ground held the Thunder scoreless for 11 minutes to take a 27-4 lead during the second quarter.

Mountain View, which trailed 29-12 at halftime, rallied in the second half. The Thunder (3-10, 0-5) pulled within eight before Battle Ground (8-6, 3-2) iced the game with free throws down the stretch.

I’m proud of my guys,” Thunder coach Aaron Shepherd said. “They could have easily folded.”
