A public celebration honoring retiring Vancouver Public Schools board member Mari Greves is set for 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Bates Center for Educational Leadership, 2921 Falk Road.
Greves has served on the board of directors since 1995. She announced her retirement last month.
During her 20-year tenure, she has served with three superintendents, has overseen two strategic plans and has been involved with three major phases of construction.
