SWAT units were called to the Harney Heights neighborhood early this morning after reports of shots fired resulted in an arrest.

A resident called 911 just before 1 a.m. Saturday to report hearing shots fired in the 4000 block of East 14th Street, Vancouver Police Sgt. Deb Libbey said.

Arriving officers did not find anyone injured, but determined shots had been fired, she said.

Members of the regional SWAT team was called to the scene, with officers remaining in the area for several hours determining where the shots had come from and who was involved, Libbey said. Eventually investigators found rounds in the area, she said.

Demetrius A. Diamond, 22, was arrested on suspicion of felony harassment and discharging a firearm. More charges may be coming, Libbey said, as the investigation is continuing.
