Officers responded to a bank robbery at a U.S. Bank branch in the Orchards area Wednesday evening.

The call came in around 5:30 p.m. at 6407 N.E. 117th Ave. Sheriff’s Sgt. Todd Barsness said a man entered the bank, displayed a firearm to the teller and left on foot carrying cash.

Officers brought out a police dog in an attempt to track the man, he said, but they were unsuccessful.

Emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian indicated that the suspect, a male, reportedly was wearing makeup and a fake nose. Further information was not available Wednesday night.
