SEATTLE — The coach of the 1979 NBA champion Seattle SuperSonics, Lenny Wilkens, raised the Seahawks 12th man flag Wednesday on top of the Seattle Space Needle.

After a short stint in the rain atop the landmark, the flag is being signed by fans attending a Seahawks rally Wednesday afternoon at the Seattle Center.

Then the flag is being flowing to New York City for events leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII. The flag will be presented to the Seattle players just before kickoff Sunday for their game against the Denver Broncos.
