Chattanooga drops UNC-Greensboro 77-67

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Casey Jones scored 22 points and Chattanooga remained unbeaten in Southern Conference play, dropping UNC-Greensboro 77-67 on Saturday.

Chattanooga (14-8, 8-0) got 15 points from Z. Mason, 12 from Martynas Bareika and 11 from Ronrico White.

Tevon Saddler led UNC Greensboro (10-12, 3-4) with 24 points.

Chattanooga led by three at 27-24 with 6:01 left in the first, and then went on a 10-0 run over 4:28 including a trey by White, en route to a 39-28 lead at the break.

UNCG opened the second half with a 12-2 run to tie the game at 40 on Nicholas Paulos’ layup. The teams then exchanged the lead three times with five ties. The Mocs’ Casey Jones hit a pair of free throws and made a layup before Bareika’s trey put them up six with 5:30 left.

The Mocs hit 7 of 10 free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
