Girls basketball: Mountain View 54, Hudson’s Bay 40

Three 3-pointers in the third quarter by Emily Moore helped the host Thunder to its first 3A Greater St. Helens League win of the season.

With help from its transition game, Mountain View outscored Hudson’s Bay 17-8 in the third quarter to build a 14-point lead.

The Thunder also took advantage of their free throws, making 21 of 25 in the game.

Moore finished with 13 points, Haley Hartney scored 12 and Christina Lundy 10 for Mountain View.

For Hudson’s Bay, Bailey Freeman scored 14 points and Paris Collins 13.
