SPOKANE — State Fish and Wildlife biologists put GPS tracking collars on 28 moose last month in northeast Washington for a long-term study.
The department’s Rich Harris says moose appear to be expanding their range and possibly their numbers in Washington.
The Spokesman-Review reports the moose were collared using tranquillizer guns fired from a helicopter.
