WARRENTON, Ore. — An Oregon agency will take three months more to decide whether a proposed liquefied natural gas plant at Warrenton meets state coastal rules.

The review of Oregon LNG’s proposal was to be complete this week. The company wants to bring gas from a Washington state pipeline to terminal for export.

CEO Peter Hansen said the three months will allow Oregon LNG to provide information to the Department of Land Conservation and Development for a decision.

Environmental groups oppose the pipeline and terminal, citing threats to wetlands and other areas.
