Boys basketball: Union 82, Heritage 49

Tyler Copp had 17 points and five assists, and Union took control early against the visiting Timberwolves in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League game.

The Titans (12-5, 6-1) led by 13 points after one quarter and by 21 at halftime.

Copp was 4 for 6 from 3-point distance and Micah Paulson also hit four 3-pointers on his way to 14 points for the Titans. All 12 Union players scored points.

Tim Hergert scored 20 points for Heritage (5-12, 0-7), and David Martin added 11.
