Boys basketball: King’s Way Christian 70, Stevenson 51

King’s Way got defensive, then carried that over to the offense with a big second-half in Stevenson.

Yoshi Kuramota came off the bench and scored all eight of his points in the second half. He was instrumental on defense, too.

“He wsa the spark for us,” King’s Way coach Butch Blue said. “We got going and didn’t look back.”

King’s Way erased a four-point halftime deficit with a 26-point third quarter. King’s Way then held Stevenson to seven points in the fourth quarter.

Jay Becker led King’s Way with 16 points.

Kienan Walter had 14 points and four blocked shots.

Chris Crenshaw and Kyle Gonzalez each had 11 points and both dished out four assists.

Nolan Stump led Stevenson with 15 points.
