Gail Haskett of the Washington State Council on Aging will discuss the state council’s role and legislative agenda in a meeting with the Clark County Commission on Aging on Tuesday.
The meeting is scheduled 4:30-6 p.m. in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. The event is open to the public.
Haskett, a gerontologist who studies the effects of aging, developed three hospice centers and founded two retirement communities. She is also a certified care manager, aging consultant and a member of the American Society on Aging.
Clark County’s senior population is projected to nearly double by 2030, according to the county.
