Battle Ground — Tykes from Tukes Valley Primary brought a dose of holiday cheer Dec. 5 to seniors at Mallard Landing Assisted Living. More than 60 kids visited the retirement community to sing carols and greet residents one-on-one. Tukes music teacher Julie Ash coordinated the event, just as she did last year. “I know the holidays can be a lonely time, especially for the elderly,” Ash said in a press release. “The smiles on their faces when you visit is truly a gift.”
