WSU Small Farm Business Planning Course: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 15 through March 19, at Clark County Public Works Operations Center, 4700 N.E. 78th St., Building B1. The 10-week course is designed to help entrepreneurs develop a business plan to guide the success and sustainability of an agricultural enterprise. Cost is $100 per farm or family. WSU Master Gardeners Fruit Trees 101 series: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 11, Feb. 1, March 15 and April 19. In the first class, learn the 10 most important things to ensure healthy trees and an abundant harvest. Morning lecture includes site requirements and prep, how to select a good tree, and care and maintenance requirements of different fruits. After a brown-bag lunch, the class moves outside for hands-on activities. Location will be announced at registration. Cost is $45 for one class or $160 for the series.
