Flyers F Schenn fined for cross-checking

NEW YORK (AP) — Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn has been fined $2,230.77, the maximum allowed, for cross-checking Chicago Blackhawks forward Kris Versteeg.

The hit happened in Wednesday night’s game in Chicago, about midway through the second period of Philadelphia’s 7-2 loss. No penalty was called.

The NHL announced the fine on Friday.
