An 18-year-old Amboy man died from his injuries in a Thursday night crash near Moulton Falls Park.

A red Subaru Legacy went off the road and hit a power pole, knocking down power lines. Noah Dean Baird and his passenger, a 17-year-old Yacolt girl, were trapped in the vehicle when firefighters with Fire District 13 arrived, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian. The crash was reported at 7:35 p.m. Thursday at 27781 N.E. Lucia Falls Road.

Baird later died of his injuries. His passenger remains hospitalized. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says that the crash doesn’t appear to have involved impairment or excessive speed. The agency’s Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate.
