Letter: ‘Spiritually appropriate’ defined

In reference to the pending legislation on same-sex marriage, my King James bible in 1 Corinthians, Chapter 6, verse 12 says: “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I shall not be brought under the power of any.”

I wanted to simplify this in my mind so I turned to “The Message,” which interpreted this same verse by saying, “Just because something is technically legal doesn’t mean that it’s spiritually appropriate.”

That, my friends, is what the fuss is all about.

Myself, I absolutely feel it is not spiritually appropriate.
