LONDON (AP) — It’s moving-in day at London’s Olympic village.

With six months to go before the games open, workers on Friday were moving beds, linen and furniture into the buildings.

Four-time Olympic rowing champion Matthew Pinsent was on hand to help move one bed as the work formally got underway.

Some 16,000 athletes are due to compete in the games.

Most of the sporting venues have already been completed and are being tested. The hub of the games will be in East London, where the Olympic Park has been constructed.
