Girls basketball: Union 44, Heritage 39

Angelique Williams scored 14 points and Tuileisu Anderson added 12 as Union jumped out to a 31-14 halftime lead and hung on to win.

“We got it close at the end,” Heritage coach Karrin Wilson said. “Union came out ready to play, and we didn’t in the first half.”

Emily Myers led Heritage with 14 points, and TeeTee Martin added 11.
