This Thursday through Sunday, the Camas and Washougal high school equestrian teams will be sharing the spotlight at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

This first District Three Washington High School Equestrian Teams event of the season will feature close to 110 riders from Camas, Washougal, Hockinson, Castle Rock, North Thurston and Toledo. After kicking up dust in competitions across the state for the past six years, this is the first meet for the Panthers and the Papermakers that is close to home.

An equestrian meet is structured much like a track and field meet. Riders compete together or individually against opponents from six different schools.

Events are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Thursday, 5:30 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.
