GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — Baron Davis has practiced for the first time this season with the New York Knicks, who hope he can solve some of their offensive woes when he’s ready to play.

Davis has been unavailable since signing with the Knicks in December because of a herniated disc in his back. The Knicks hope he can play sometime during their four-game road trip that begins Tuesday.

The Knicks have lost six in a row and broke 100 points for the first time in eight games Saturday, and that was only because the game went into overtime. Davis says he sees areas he can help, but both he and coach Mike D’Antoni described him as “rusty” Monday and the point guard says he was tired.
