Two people were sent to the hospital on Friday afternoon after a t-bone crash on Padden Parkway.

The crash was reported around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of Padden Parkway and Northeast 94th Avenue. Truck 5 and Engine 7 with the Vancouver Fire Department responded, said Capt. Chris Moen, a fire department spokesman.

Firefighters found the vehicles on opposite corners of the intersection. There were some traffic problems because of the crash, but the intersection wasn’t closed, Moen said.

An adult male was sent to the hospital with traumatic injuries that weren’t believed to he life threatening. The man’s car had “significant intrusion” on the driver’s side, prompting first responders to alert the emergency room staff that he was coming, Moen said.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported with minor injuries.

Both were sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
