Seven lakes in Southwest Washinton have been stocked with rainbow trout, cutthroat trout or surplus steelhead recently.
In Clark County, Battle Ground Lake got 800 cutthroat averaging about a pound each.
In Skamania County, Kidney Lake near North Bonneville got 50 5-pound and 13 10-pound surplus broodstock rainbow, Icehouse Lake at the Bridge of the Gods oft 42 5-pounders and seven 10-pounders, Little Ash Lake near Stevenson got 42 5-pounders and seven 10-pounders, and Tunnel Lake got 83 5-pounders and 13 10-pounders.
In Cowlitz County, Silver Lake near Toutle got 5,050 catchable-size rainbow trout while Kress Lake near Kalama got 11 adult steelhead.
State biologists estimate 765 legal sturgeon have been kept through Sunday from the Bonneville pool. The guideline for 2011 was 2,000 sturgeon. The guideline for 2012 has not been set yet.
Anglers have been catching about 10 sublegals per keeper, while bank fishing still slow.
Streamflows were low in the East Fork Lewis and Washougal rivers on Wednesday afternoon, but are expected to raise significantly with the rain on tap for the next several days.
