EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Coach Tom Coughlin doesn’t think the New York Giants suffered any significant injuries in Sunday’s NFC division game with the Green Bay Packers Sunday.
Coughlin said Monday a couple of players the usual post-game aches and pains but there didn’t seem to be anything to be concerned about for Sunday’s NFC title game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Defensive tackle Chris Canty walked away from his locker quickly Monday and said “the proof was in the pudding” when asked about a knee he hurt in the fourth quarter.
Receiver Victor Cruz wasn’t concerned about a quad injury. Cornerback Aaron Ross was befuddled by leg cramps he experienced in the cold. Safety Deon Grant was examined for a concussion but returned. Linebacker Chase Blackburn left with a stinger but also returned.
